Ice or heat. Can getting in a hot tub for an acute flareup of lumbar nerve pain help or hurt? I've been using ice on and off 20 minutes at a time but I do have access to a hot tub if heat therapy wont make it worse.

Ice and heat are used for various injuries. It is best to see a medical provider to determine the best course of treatment.

I have previously had rotator cuff surgery 2 years ago and since then a Lipoma has devoleped in the mid section of the same arm. The MRI was taken there and diagnosed at AOC. I have been waiting for my medicare to become valid which is in October. I would like for the same Orthopedic surgeon to perform this surgery if possible. I have noticed that it is beginning to interfere wth my circulation and the inflamation problems are frequent. I would like to get this done as soon as possible. My doctor is Dr. Alonzo Sexton. A couple of years ago I sprain my ankle. Every now and that ankle just gives out. And if i'm not careful it can cause me to fall. What should I do?

Do you have an "open" MRI?

In June 2010 I had plantar fasciitis release and tarsal tunnel release. Now, November 2010 all of a sudden I am in pain and having a hard time walking again. The spot at the bottom of incision was always puffy since the surgery, now it is like a walnut. March 2009 I had knee scope done on the meniscus and scar tissue under the knee cap, now it is puffy and hurting again. Why are these hurting again after surgery and what should I do?

The best thing to do is to get in to see your provider. There could have been a re-injury which will require a provider diagnosis.

My daughter is scheduled for foot surgery with Dr. Johnson in October. As always, we want to help her in any way possible, and would like to know if there is any sort of financing available for the amount she will have to cover above what the insurance pays. Just one more thing...lets talk about money, shall we? All four of my grandparents families arrived in COLONIAL Virginia in the 17th Century. They paid in everyway possible for the country that is left. They died in it's wars, they used blood and sweat to build a place that was fit for all. They paid tax to the United States as long as there has been tax. To my knowledge, I am the only one who has undeniably needed help. That help has been far from free...I have paid in everyway that counts. I have paid in dignity, I have paid in modesty, I have paid in respect just to have the HEALTH INSURANCE that will keep me alive. I'm smart enough to find a way to make money but it's the health insurance that I cannot do without. I live on 673 dollars a month.You boys will blow that on a saturday of golf...easy.I have seen blatant abuse and fraud so astounding that hardly anyone believes me. Medicare and Medicaid is a licsense to print money but not for me, for the pharmicutical companies, for the doctors receiving kick backs....for the medical transportation systems. It is a house of cards and I haven't had a SS increase in 4 years cause I'm the problem? I spent $150 of my own 673 dollars to be transported to see Joe Hale about a serious problem and I'm mad as hell that he could only send me to CARE MEDICAL? I know exactly who I am and what I'm about and unless I personally slapped your mama ya'll better get it together...unless I'm a Gymn Dawg and ya'll are pretty together on that..or maybe a football team that CANNOT FINISH THE DRLL!
