Orthopedic Trauma

What is Orthopedic Trauma?

Orthopedic Trauma is a severe injury involving the muscles or bones, often resulting from an accident that requires quick and decisive treatment. Our trauma surgeons are able to quickly address complex issues and prevent an injury from becoming life-altering, as well as providing follow-up care through AOC’s specialists.

Efficient Care for Injuries

The Athens Orthopedic Clinic Trauma service specializes in fracture care. With our well-trained team, we pride ourselves in our ability to efficiently care for the multiply injured patient. We address both simple and complex fractures, from injuries that may have occurred only moments before, to chronic deformities due to injuries in the distant past. We can correct broken bones that either did not heal or healed in a poor position. Under the right circumstances, we can even lengthen limbs that are shortened secondary to growth disturbances or trauma.

We Repair Injuries to

  • Complex clavicle, shoulder, scapula, humerus, elbow
  • Forearm, wrist, hand
  • Pelvis, acetabulum, hip
  • Femur, knee, tibia, fibula
